“America Gothic” A Watercolor version, and interpretations, by Kimberly Koerber-Bauer-Koerber
In Columbus, Ohio, this phtograph was put on a wall on the other side, outside wall, across from a known campus gay bar. The woman in the old classic photograph was turned upside down. An informant says that the old woman, in the photograph, is supposed to be the man’s daughter, rather than his wife.
This picture was also supposed to have something to do with “The Limited Companies”. Versions of this man can be seen in person, particularly in midwestern areas. This man and woman are supposed to have something also to do with being ‘judgemental’ or ‘judgement’ and are stunch, conservative farmer types.
